Shengdanyachi koot - How to make peanut powder
Shengdanyachi koot or peanut powder recipe - I adore the Maharashtrian cuisine which is very unique and distinct. Many dishes are prepared using peanut powder as key ingredient. I have been making peanut powder based dishes for the past several years. So, I store home made peanut powder and use them as and when required. This powder is essential for dishes like bharli vaangi, bharli mirchi, bharli bhindi, bhrali karli, bharli dhodka, sabudanyachi khichdi, sabudana batata thali peeth, sabudana batata vada, kande pohe, susla, shengdanyachi chutney etc.

Malvani chana curry recipe - Malvani chickpea curry
Malvani chana or brown chickpea curry recipe - I am a great fan of all malvani dishes, which are very popular in Maharashtra. I have prepared this Malvani chana curry in a pressure cooker with store bought malvani masala. If you don't get Malvani masala in your area, you can use some chole masala readily available in the grocery store. This curry goes well with hot steamed rice, ghee or jeera rice, rice or jawari roti, chapati, phulka or any other Indian flat breads.

Roasted poha chiwda recipe - Poha or pohe or beaten rice chivda is the first thing that comes in my mind when I am thinking to make some easy and crispy evening teatime savoury snacks. This chivda is very easy to prepare and can be stored for about a couple of weeks to serve as evening teatime snack. Even you can make this chivda without adding peanuts and putanis.

Bhindi masala recipe - Ladies finger sabzi
Bhindi masala recipe - Ladies finger or bhindi is one of my favorite vegetables. This is a perishable vegetable and it should be used when it is fresh. Even in the refrigerator the ladies finger gets spoiled quickly. I buy okras in small quantity and love to make either bhindi masala, bhindi sambar, kadai bhindi, bhindi raita, bharli bhindi or bhende sukke. In this dish the ladies finger gets flavor from the mustard seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida, coriander seeds powder and chilly powder. Fresh coocnut adds an extra taste to the dish. You can make this dish to pack in the lunch box with some soft chapati. This is a very eays recipe that you can make quickly within few minutes.
