Kharbuja rasayana recipe - Cantaloupe rasayana recipe

Kharbuja  rasayana recipe - Kharbuja rasayana is a delicious all season dessert, commonly made in Karnataka. Muskmelon in combination with  coconut milk make this dish an extremely pleasing dessert when sweetened with jaggery and induced with cardamom flavor. Traditionally, coconut paste is used to make the rasayana. But somehow, we like to have it in coconut milk rather than coconut paste.

Moong dal cheela recipe - Husked and split green gram cheela

Stuffed moong dal cheela recipe - Breakfast is the main meal of the day, after dinner there is a long gap  between breakfast and dinner. We all are looking forward for the healthy, filling and energetic dishes that please every one's taste bud.  Cheela is one such  delicious dish, which provides proteins, vitamins, minerals and digestible fiber. Moong dal cheela is nothing but dosa prepared with split green gram or moong dal and stuffed with kadai sabzi prepared with beans, carrot, cauliflower and other ingredients. I like cheela as much as I like masala Dosa.

Tomato saaru recipe - Tomato curry recipe

tomato curry in a serving bowl
Tomato saaru recipe - Curry is known as saaru in South Karnataka. This is an easy curry recipe which can be prepared very quickly. This is a staple gravy of that region which is served with hot rice. To make such saaru, some people make curry powder called saarina hudi at home. This powder is very handy and busy moms can prepare and store it to use as and when required. This saarina hudi is also available in the grocery store. To make this saaru coconut is an essential ingredient. Instead of saarina hudi, I have used fresh spices which is also gives fresh fragrance to the curry. Tomato saaru tastes great when accompanied with hot rice, papad, chutney and pickle.
