Shimla mirch besan ki sabji is a Maharashtrian style bhaji prepared with capsicum and gram flour. This sabji is popularly called as dabbu mirchichi peeth perun bhaji in Marathi. This sabji goes well with chapathi and roti. This is a nice accompaniment for plain rice and dal. It is an easy and hassle free sabji which can be prepared in a jiffy. Being a dry sabji it is convenient to pack in the lunch box also.

Matar mushroom bhaji - Today I have come up with matar mushroom bhaji for you all. Here button mushrooms are available throughout the year and you can make varieties of dishes with it. Though the green peas are seasonal, frozen green peas are available in any grocery store. This bhaji is really a spicy version with full of aroma. It is very simple to prepare and the whole process takes few minutes. I am sure, you will definitely enjoy the preparation and taste of this bhaji. I have added kala masala to give it a twist of Maharashtrian tatse. Kala masala is totally optional. If you don't have kala masala, you can use garam masala instead of kala masala.

Gavarfali ki sabzi recipe - A simple side dish prepared with humble and down to earth cluster beans. It is good source of dietary fibers. Bhindi masala recipe - Ladies finger or bhindi is one of my favorite vegetables. This is a perishable vegetable and it should be used when it is fresh. Even in the refrigerator the ladies finger gets spoiled quickly. I buy okras in small quantity and love to make either bhindi masala, bhindi sambar, kadai bhindi, bhindi raita, bharli bhindi or bhende sukke. In this dish the ladies finger gets flavor from the mustard seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida, coriander seeds powder and chilly powder. Fresh coocnut adds an extra taste to the dish.You can make this dish to pack in the lunch box with some soft chapati. This is a very eays recipe that you can make quickly within few minutes.

God ambade sasam recipe - Sihi amtekayi sasam is coastal konkan cuisine prepared with hog plums, ground coconut masala paste and jaggery.. God ambade is a seasonal vegetable of Coastal Karnataka. The word god means sweet in konkani. It is also called as sihi ambekayi in Kannada. God ambade is sweet and sour in taste. The dish made with ambade is very delicious and it releases unique flavour of sweet and sour. Whatever the dish prepared with ambade, the dish needs jaggery to balance the taste as the ambade is slightly sour in taste.

Bhende sukke recipe- Bhende sukke is a simple coastal konkan side dish made with ladies fingers. and garnished with fresh coconut. This sukke is a very healthy accompaniment for any main meal. I always like to make dishes with ladies finger. Alsande palya recipe - Alsande palya is a traditional sabzi  of South Karnataka. Chapathi is our staple food. So I prepare different sabzis almost everyday. I made this black eyed beans palya for chapathi. It can also be served as a side dish along with rice and curry.  The masala in this sabzi is mildly flavored with spices. Black eyed beans or alsande is low  fat and low calorie legume and very good sources of proteins, iron, potassium and fiber. Therefore sabzi made with black eyed beans are recommended  for vegetarians who require more proteins.

Fenugreek leaves in combination with green peas and potato makes a delicious side dish popularly known as methi matar malai and aloo methi sukha bhaaji. Avrekayi upkari recipe - Avrekayi upkari is a South Karnataka style sabzi prepared with long beans and coconut. This is served as a side dish to roti, chapathi and rice with curry. Long bean is a seasonal vegetable and is available during few months. Long beans are known as avrekayi in kannada and valasange in konkani in western Karnataka. In eastern part of Karnatka (Bangalore, Mysore, Tumkur etc.) lilva beans are also called as avrekayi which is used to prepare hichikida avrekayi palya.

Kadai bhindi recipe - I am never ever bored with bhindi ( Ladies finger / okra ) side dishes. Be it Bhindi MasalaStuffed Bhindi or Bhindi Upkari.  Every week we have bhindi side dishes either for lunch or dinner. One such dish is kadai bhindi which is a nice accompaniment for Indian flat breads. Its a nice side dish for rice and curry too. Mixing this kadai bhindi with rice and dal also gives an excellent taste to the meal.
