Saipe paanna god idli recipe - Sabbasige sihi idli - Dill leaves sweet idli
Saipe paanna god idli recipe - This is an authentic dill leaves sweet idli recipe of my hometown. In that part dill leaves are very rarely available and it is seasonal. Whenever it was in the vegetable market, we used to bring it and we were making dill leaves idly and dosa.
Many people do not like the flavor of this leaves. So, they reject to eat dishes made out of it. But, this is my favorite leafy vegetable and I can eat it in any form. Here we get dill leaves all around the year and I make either idli or dosa with it very often. Being a sweet idli it needs to be served with ghee or butter.

Rava urad dal idli recipe - Sooji Idli recipe
Rava urad dal idli recipe - I am fond of all South Indian idlis. This rava urad dal idli is an alternative to rice urad dal idli. The interesting part of this idli is that the batter doesn't need any fermentation. Dal needs to be soaked for three hours and your idli batter will get ready within half an hour after grinding it. To make it more interesting, you can add green peas, carrot, chopped curry leaves, coriander leaves, green chillies and spluttered mustard seeds to it. But, we like it plain and I made it without adding any tempering and vegetables. I served this rava urad dal idli with sambar and coconut chutney.

Rice urad dal idli recipe - How to make rice urad dal idli
Rice urad dal idli recipe - We love rice urad dal Idli for breakfast and I can have it with sambar and chutney on any day. Idli is a South Indian signature dish which is very popular in all parts of India. This is my version of Idlis prepared with basic ingredients like raw rice and split black grams. Variations of Idli can be made by adding some masala and few vegetables like carrot and green peas in the basic Idli batter. Tempering the idli batter with mustard seeds and curry leaves gives a nice flavour to the idli.
