- 3 litre skimmed milk
- lemon juice from 1 big lemon or 1/2 cup curd / yogurt
- Boil the milk in a heavy bottomed vessel. When the milk is boiling, reduce the heat and add lemon juice drop by drop or add curd spoon by spoon
- Keep stirring the milk and bring it to boil. When the milk curdles remove from the fire.
- Pour it in a strainer and drain all the whey( I used large s stainless steel strainer) Press slightly over it to remove the excess whey.
- Transfer the paneer to a flat surface plate. Cover a lid and place a heavy weight on it for 4-5 hours. When all the whey drained out, remove the paneer and store in the fridge for further use.
