Collection of Indian ladoo recipes - Laddu recipes

Collection of ladoo or laddu recipes - Here is a collection of few traditional and popular laddu recipes of India. These laddus are prepared during Diwali festival, Ganesh Chaturthi festival and special occasions. Festivals in India is incomplete without sweet dishes. Various variety of laddus are made using key ingredients such as semolina, sesame seeds, gram flour, almonds, wheat flour, dry fruits, peanuts, jaggery or sugar. 

Tilachi ladoo - Tilachi Ladoo is one of the favorite traditional sweets prepared during  Makar Sankranti festival. This ladoo is prepared with few ingredients and among them sesame seed is the basic one. Ground nut powder and coconut turns this ladu soft, whereas  sesame seeds make it crunchy.


Badam ladoo - This year I have prepared badam laddu using khava, flavored with cardamom powder. It is so flexible, can be modified according to the personal liking. The quantity of khava can be reduced. This creamy textured badam laddu is an eater friendly sweet, that melts in the mouth. 

Wheat flour ladoo - Wheat flour ladoo is a ladoo which can be prepared in a jiffy with few ingredients. It doesn't need much preparation. It is also offered as naivedya. Variation can be done by replacing wheat flour by bengal gram flour or besan.
Rava coconut ladoo - Rava coconut ladoo is a popular  Indian sweet prepared with semolina, coconut and sugar syrup. This ladoo is  usually made during Ganesh Chaturthi, Deepavali or Diwali and other special occasions.
